On the right hand side of this page and others on this website is a list of helpful links related to Erie fishing.

*Check out the NOAA’s 7 day forecast and Weather.com’s Erie Radar page so you know what to expect in the coming days.

*Track Walnut Creek’s stream flow data from the USGS’s website for variances in flow and height.  Use this throughout the season and you will figure out the best fishing levels and be able to relate Walnut Creek’s flow to other streams flowing into Lake Erie in Pennsylvania.

*The US Naval Observatory has a nice sunrise/sunset data feature for one day or for the entire year when you put in the location and date.  Useful for Erie and anywhere you go fishing.  I generally like to start all of my Steelhead fishing before sunrise and I aim for the civil twilight period, which is about a half hour before sunrise.  Civil twilight before sunrise is when you can see objects clearly without artificial light sources.  After sunset it is when you can no longer see objects clearly without artificial light.

*Look over the PA Fishing Regulations for Lake Erie and it’s tributaries.

*Obtain a PA Fishing License and valid stamps and print it out at home before your trip.

*Check out access points and explore stream maps for all of the Lake Erie tributaries in Pennsylvania.
